HELLADOPE is the creative partnership of town veteran MC Jerm (29) of Seattle supergroup Alpha P, and MC/Producer Tay Sean (21). From the South End of Seattle, Helladope has quickly evolved into one of Seattle's premier hip-hop acts with a sounds that pushes the envelope of fundamental hip-hop, spouting sophisticated rhymes with the swagger of seasoned MCs atop lush soundscapes, incorporating jazz, funk, soul, and house music into a style that is seemingly futuristic and retro at the same time. Helladope has shared the stage with such acts as Snoop Dogg, Goodie Mob, and Camp Lo.

i'll keep this short. pearl dragon and me, dj gajamagic, joined forces in august of '07 to form Champagne Champagne. after a few months of writing songs thomas gray joined us two on stage to complete our line up. the only goal for our group is to make music that makes us feel good. i must say they are some feel good tunes.

"Fresh Espresso's approach is tight, fresh, and referential all at once... Perfecting a formula that's equal parts brilliant and crazy."
-Ma'Chell Duma LaVassar (SEATTLE WEEKLY)
"Rik's saucy, art-damaged gentleman flow is savage over Smoov's afterparty bounce, and P himself is a nice complement on the vocals; it's rugged but breezy smooth, experimental yet official, bugged-out but deceptively subtle."
"But I can't front, P Smoov got beats like a mug—his raved-up synth madness is quick to morph into some skitzo grime shit or bass-heavy screw music, with seizure-inducing chopped vocal hooks"
-Larry Mizell Jr for "My Philosophy" (THE STRANGER)
"Not since hearing Blue Scholars' eponymous debut in 2004 have I been so excited about a local work of hiphop art."
- Charles Mudede (THE STRANGER)
